Alicia Evans
Fiber Artist
Creative Portfolio
Alicia Evans
Alicia Evans is a fiber artist advocating for trees for over a decade. She uses yarn and crochet to create works of art to heighten awareness about the environment and inspire conversation.
Alicia is the winner of a New York State grant to create a "Forest of Healing Trees" exhibition opening at Westbury Arts.
This project is supported by the Office of the Govenor of New York.
The Process
Alicia has created a unique
style of art crocheting single colors,
then weaving them together
with the final step of 'sculpting' the yarn
into the shape of a tree.
Each color is a single crocheted line.
